交響曲7番&「プロメテウスの創造物」

ゴットフリート・フォン・デア・ゴルツ指揮フライブルク・バロック・オーケストラ(FBO)による、2020年録音のベートーヴェンの交響曲第7番とバレエ音楽(全曲)。
ベートーヴェンの第7交響曲は初演時から好評を博し、「第5交響曲」「第6交響曲」のように革新的な構造形式ではなく、古典的な交響曲の様式に戻りながらも、ワーグナーが「舞踏の神格化」と呼んだほどに、四つの楽章でそれぞれ特徴的なリズムが登場し、音楽が展開されていきます。ゴルツ率いるFBOの演奏は、第1楽章の軽やかさ、厳粛かつ美しい第2楽章、高揚感を高める第3楽章を経て迎える熱狂的なフィナーレ、と快速なテンポの中音楽を浮かび上がらせ、新しいベートーヴェン像を提示しています。
そしてバレエ音楽「プロメテウスの創造物」全曲。イタリアの舞踊家サルヴァトーレ・ヴィガノが振付を担当するバレエのためベートーヴェンは、序曲、序奏と16曲の管弦楽曲を作曲。1801年にウィーンのブルク劇場で初演が行われました。ベートーヴェンは、第16曲(終曲)の主題をピアノのための変奏曲と『エロイカ』交響曲の変奏曲の主題として使っています。ゴルツとFBOによる鋭い切込みで作品を魅力を描き出しています。
