After releasing collaborations with Curren$y, the Alchemist, 2 Chainz, and Cardo Got Wings, Who Coppin is rapper Larry Junes first album credited as a solo artist since 2024s Doing It for Me. Like many of his releases, Who Coppin goes down easily -- he coolly rhymes about his successful business decisions and luxurious lifestyle over smooth beats reminiscent of vintage G-funk. At this point, it seems like June is comfortable staying in his lane and sticking to his signature sound and style, so dont expect any innovations or deviations from the norm. That said, its not hard to enjoy what he does or to appreciate his motivational outlook. While all of the songs fit within the same general vibe, "Casual Monday" stands out for being a bit more atmospheric, and "Organic Motion" (with DJ.Fresh) is a snappier piece of synth-funk with breezy synths and turntable scratches. Jhene Aiko, Jay Versace, and Musiq Soulchild help out on some R&B slow jams in the middle of the album, then its largely back to G-funk, though the Swizz Beatz-featuring "Flex" and "Larrys Diner, Pt. 2" have more of a lush, orchestral sound. Who Coppin debuted at number 29 on the Billboard 200, Junes highest-charting position to date. ~ Paul Simpson
