『THE WANT LIST』シリーズといえば、70年代~80年代中期のレア・グルーヴ~モダン・ソウルのレア音源が多数収録されている、SOUL BROTHER RECORDSを代表するコンピですが、レーベル設立30周年というアニバーサリー・イヤーに、第5弾となる最新作がリリース!

今作も今まで同様、それ以上にレア音源が多数収録。そのなかには今回が初CD化という音源も!勿論レア音源だけでなく、BARRY WHITE「Playing Your Game, Baby」やMIGHTY RYEDERS「Evil Vibrations」などといった大人気曲も収録されているのも嬉しいポイント。
