1950年代から85歳になる現在に至るまでシーンの最前線で活躍を続け、ブルースのポピュラー・ミュージック化に計り知れない貢献を続けるとともに、ザ・ローリング・ストーンズ、U2、エルトン・ジョン、エリック・クラプトン、スティーヴィー・ワンダー等々のスーパー・スターたちからも最高級のリスペクトを寄せられるB.B.キング。
ABCパラマウントとレコード契約した1962年から今年でちょうど50年。その偉業を称えたCD10枚組全194曲収録のアンソロジー・ボックスです。
ディスク1～2には、1949年のキャリア初レコーディングとなったBulletに残した4曲、1950年から1957年にModern/RPMに残した27曲のシングル音源、1958年から1971年にKent/Crownに残した19曲のシングル/アルバム音源を収録。
ディスク3～10には、アルバム未収録シングルや、レアなアルバム/シングル音源を含む、1962年から1978年のABC-Paramount、ABC Bluesway、ABC、ABC/Impulseでの音源、1979年から2012年までのMCA、Geffen Records音源を計145曲収録。
