伝説のトランペッター、リー・モーガンが1970年にカリフォルニア州ハーモサ・ビーチにて、クインテットが3晩かけて録音した全12セットの伝説のライヴが完全版として初登場。
伝説のトランペッター、リー・モーガンとサックス奏者のベニー・モウピン、ピアニストのハロルド・メイバーン、ベーシストのジミー・メリット、ドラマーのミッキー・ローカーとのクインテットが、1970年7月10日から12日にかけてカリフォルニア州ハーモサ・ビーチのザ・ライトハウスで行った歴史的な演奏を12セットすべて初めて収録した大規模なコレクションがついにリリース。
50年前の1971年に2枚組LPとして発売され、1996年には3枚組CDに拡張されリリースされたが、完全版としてのリリースは今回が初でゼブ・フェルドマンとデビッド・ワイスがプロデュースを担当。
このセットには、4時間以上の未発表曲を含む33の演奏が収録されており、クラブでのエキサイティングな瞬間を体験することができる。
ベニー・モウピンへの最新インタビューと、昨年亡くなる前に行われたジミー・メリットのインタビュー、ジェフリー・マクミラン(『Delightfulee』の著者)によるエッセイを含む充実のブックレットを搭載。また、ジャック・ディジョネット、ウォレス・ローニー、ニコラス・ペイトン、チャールズ・トリヴァー、エディ・ヘンダーソン、デイヴ・ダグラスなどの証言、ジョエル・フランクリンとリー・タナーのレアな写真、モーガンの家族の証言なども掲載されている。
オーディオはキャピトル・スタジオでSteve Genewickがオリジナルの1/2インチ4トラックテープからミックスし、CDのマスタリングはキャピトル・スタジオのRobert Vosgienが行った。
